River Sands – Easy Mix Rapid Set is a premixed product that is ready to use straight from the bag and sets quickly.  Also known as Quick Set Concrete.

Each bag contains accurately weighed Portland cement, graded coarse sand, fine aggregates, quality additives and incorporates a non-chloride accelerator which ensures a far more rapid setting time when compared with standard concrete and is designed to rapidly harden without any mixing.

Because of its accelerated qualities, Easy Mix Concrete is ideal for pergola posts, fence posts, letterbox Posts, clotheslines, playground equipment and all other applications where a rapid setting concrete is required.

Due to its rapid setting qualities, Rapid Set Concrete is not suitable for slabs or jobs that require a smooth surface finish.

• Initial set in 15 minutes
• Posts become self-standing after 15 minutes
• Start nailing of rails and palings 2 hours after placement

Rapid Set Concrete Bag Coverage 

• Recommended Hole size is 2 x width or diameter of the post (Ie 100mm x 100mm post requires a 200mm x 200mm hole)
• Recommended Hole Depth is 1/3 the length of the post – a 1.8m post should be in around 600mm deep.
• Based on this each hole should use between 1.5 bags – 2 x 20kg bags per hole depending on depth and post use.
• Each 20kg bag of concrete for sale contains around 10 litres of concrete.
