This easy to use Thunderbird EF-8 Digital Volt Meter features:

• Auto on & off 
• Reads up to 10,000 volts
• Operates from an internal 9 volt battery
• Battery life is approximately 1 year.

* Designed to be used for electric fences only.

To test energiser:

Disconnect wires from energiser & connect volt meter clips / hang plate to energiser
terminals switch eneregiser on to test.

To test fence line:

Connect the volt meters earth clip to the earth ( dead ) wire, or to the ground ( soil )
– then place the steel hang bracket at the top rear of the volt meter case, to the live
( hot ) wire – the volt meter will automatically turn on and display the fence voltage.
